Franz von Freren is a stunning 3 year old long haired German Shepherd whom you just want to hug (once you get to know him).  At 70 pounds and possibly housebroken, Franz will lean against you for attention -- he accepts anything from light pets to belly rubs.  Not only does he know his basic commands, but he walks well on leash alone or with other dogs, staying close to you and only stopping to track an ant dashing for its life.  Play time in our yard is one of Franz' favorites activities, romping with his furry friends and checking out the nooks and crannies.  This boy is so special -- and have you heard that coated shepherds shed less than short-hair shepherds?  (No cats for this boy.)
